Panic Attacks
Panic attacks are an acute experience of anxiety coupled with a belief that you are about to die. The panic attack is experienced as a traumatic event and, most people, will try to avoid having another panic attack at all costs. This means they stop going out or doing things they used to do because they are afraid of having another panic attack. Learning to interrupt a panic attack will give you some confidence over your anxiety. This short video shares a strategy that is often used to interrupt anxiety.
